9/11 We will never forget
Those were the last words of Todd Beamer, apparently as a signal to other passengers to attack the hijackers.
No one can ever forget what happened that day...the unbelievable.
Actually, I had just come back from the states and I visited the 9/11 Memorial...it felt weird...sad and heavy. It has this strange energy.
The last time I went was in the summer of 2001, 2 years after my mom moved back to Colombia along with my sister and me.
I came back to Colombia in 2001 from that summer just days before 9/11, but because I was just 9 years old I didn't knew that was going to be the last time I would see the towers...like... if anybody knew...
US citizens aren’t the same since that. My dad was still living in the states and thank god he didn’t have to work that day, he was a taxi driver and sometimes he worked in NY. He left the TV on that night and he woke up watching the second plane crashing…he couldn’t believe it, it was like an action movie…he actually thought that. Even though my dad was still living in USA I didn’t want to go back…I was so afraid of planes, until now.
Just wanted to remember that day, pay respects for the victims and pray for their families…
